Another great way to advertise is through your very own email signature. You can place a simple link at the bottom of every email that you send called an email signature. Most online email programs allow you to set a signature very easily, and inside we will show you how. This is a great way to get exposure. Setting up a signature is not just a tool that can be used in forums. You can have every email you send contain a signature. You can use any service such as Hotmail, Yahoo! Mail, Gmail, and Outlook Express to do this. As we mentioned in our section about posting your signature on a forum, a signature is a small catchy thing that you can put on the bottom of anything you send in order to draw attention to your website. Just think of how much more traffic you could get if after every email you sent was marketing an affiliate link. Below is a quick example and walkthrough of how to set up an email signature through Yahoo! Mail. Because each email service is so similar, don’t worry if you aren’t a Yahoo! user, this guide will still be helpful to you. STEP 1: Log in to your Yahoo! Mail account via mail.yahoo.com. STEP 2: After you have logged in, look to the top right corner of your web browser. You should see a link to “Options”. Click this link. It will load a new screen which will have a list of mail options you can edit. Find the middle column in “Mail Options” labeled “Management” towards the bottom of this column you will find a link labeled as “Signature”. Click This. STEP 3: After clicking on “Signature” on the previous screen you will be given a large text box to type anything you want. Utilize this space to put an eye catching line in, and don’t forget to put a link to your website. We have a few examples of signatures listed below that you can just copy and paste.
