With all the complicated tools out there, we can often times forget about the simplest ways of promotion.

And probably one of the best, and most low-tech ways of promoting any product on the Internet is good old-fashioned "word of mouth."

Lately people have been calling it "WOM" marketing, but you don't even have to be that fancy to take advantage of it.

In fact, the easiest way to get started using word of mouth marketing is to simply add a signature to every outgoing email message you send containing links to websites or products that you would like to recommend.

Since a lot of people that you communicate with every day are probably interested in some of the same things you are, it's a great and super-easy way to get some extra commissions under your belt while you're ramping up for your more serious promotions.

It also works great with forums, and even instant messenger profiles.
